Four years ago, my husband and I moved into a rambling old place that backs up to a ravine, the reason being that it has a 1400 sq. ft. apartment attached and we were going to move my elderly parents in with us. They'd lived on a 160-acre farm where wildlife abounded and they were going to miss the farm. The very first year, we made friends with a skulk of foxes who lived in the ravine. That spring, we watched females raise eight babies. We have deer, raccoons, squirrels, possums, and groundhogs--and who knows what else that we don't see? Mom and Dad were "at home" in no time. They've always related to and respected wild animals and taught us to do the same. Thank you for telling about your life with the wild ones. ( Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2013 )
