:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Christina -- Love love love it : I have a 6 year old with a lot of sensory issues and becomes overloaded with emotions because he has a hard time expressing himself. He worries frequently about the worst case scenario for things. Trouble sleeping, issues with independence or being alone, and terrified of the dark... We have been going to therapy and I've tried mulitple "self help" books but they all seemed too advanced for his age. This book is so simple, it's cut and dry and we love it! It's literally just a few steps that he can do for himself. I think this book will be a huge help in our household. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2020 )
- 2.0 out of 5 stars from Tammy B. -- Not worth the money : I bought 3 of these books for my 4 year old grandchildren. I am very disappointed! I paid almost $50 for 3 small paper back books. They have about 20 pages with words on them and you can see there is not many on the page. I should of bought 1 to see exactly how the books were. Shame on me! Got ripped off. - 3.0 out of 5 stars from NF-Columbia -- It’s geared toward anxiety and shyness not everyday bravery : I bought this book because I wanted to motivate my girl to be more courageous when riding a bike, climbing a tree, or walking in the dark... but this book is more geared to kids that are very shy and/or have some type of anxiety. My daughter enjoys it to some degree, but I’m afraid the book is doing the opposite of stimulating her to be brave. It’s actually making her afraid of other kids laughing at her, and she never felt that way before. :( I’d not recommend this book unless under some circumstances as mentioned above. My son very suddenly became afraid of several things including bees, spiders, loose hair, showers, and toilets. I bought him this book and he has made noticable improvements in a week! He loves the book and asked me to read it to him daily and the other day when he was in the shower, I heard him telling himself "I can do this, I am brave!" Which is self encouragement he learned in the book. I cannot say enough good things about this book and highly recommend to other parents! ( Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2021 )

While it's recommended for ages 3-8, the verbose text takes away from the content from the extra explanation that is required. The kids in the illustration has eerily LARGE eyes. - 1.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Do not buy, save your money : This is such a terrible book for any kid who is afraid of anything. In the first few pages it has pictures of a monster and scary bugs. The characters eyes are scary looking. I bought this for my daughter to try to help her be more brave and she immediately hated it and was scared of it. $14 for a paperback book is such a rip off as well. Really bummed I purchased it. There aren't many words on a page, but it isn't a baby book either. We read out loud, passed the book around, talked about what it said.
